The sample group of the study consisted of 345 health workers working in a public hospital in the Trakya region. The health workers who participated in the study were administered a questionnaire consisting of two scales whose reliability was previously tested in other studies. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the ethical leader perception scale consisted of one sub-dimension and the individual innovativeness scale consisted of four sub-dimensions in accordance with the originals, It has been determined that ethical leadership perception has a weak but significant effect on the sub-dimensions-resistance to change and risk taking. It was concluded that the type of leadership examined in the study may have an impact on the individual innovativeness of healthcare workers, but it could be better to investigate the effects of different leadership types due to the low level of influence in this research.
2021-09-13T18:26:30+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Journal of Organizational Behavior Review http://165.227.156.80/index.php/JobReview/article/view/49 Personality in Creating Organizational Culture: The Case of Steve Jobs-Apple 2021-09-14T10:13:57+00:00 Dilek ÇUHADAR dilek.cuhadar@ogr.iu.edu.tr Güven ORDUN gordun@istanbul.edu.tr
The primary purpose of the research is to answer the relationship between the personality traits of the founder and the corporate culture in high performance companies through the Steve Jobs-Apple example. The findings obtained through the qualitative research method overlap with the search results of previous studies, and it is seen that the founding personality traits and values are the basic building blocks of the organizational culture. The second purpose of the study is to measure the entrepreneurial personality of "The Five-Factor Model of Personality (FFM)", and to identify the gaps of the literature in the context of the evaluation of the organizational culture of the "Organizational Culture Profile Assessment (OCP)". Research findings indicate that FFM is insufficient to measure entrepreneurial personality. When Job’s personality traits are taken independently from FFM, they overlap with all of the OCP dimensions. FFM, which is used frequently to measure the entrepreneurial personality traits used in the international area is not taken into consideration in Turkey in this context. Therefore, it is thought that there needs to develop a new scale in FFM to evaluate the entrepreneurial personality traits which matches with more specific entrepreneurial behaviors including individual differences so that FFM can be taken into consideration more in Turkey. The research is important in terms of opening a new debate about the redefinition of entrepreneurial characteristics as a resource for new researches to be conducted, and new scales to be developed in this context. It can be said that, strong organizational culture is a reflection of the strong personality traits of the founder and it has a positive effect on the sustainability of the organization as it is seen in the Jobs -Apple example. The research results, shows that new researches are needed about the effects of the sustainability of the organizational culture which is created by the founder in the family companies in Turkey.

2021-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Journal of Organizational Behavior Review http://165.227.156.80/index.php/JobReview/article/view/51 The Effect of Work Overload and Family Demands on Work-Family Conflict: A Study on Private School Teachers 2021-09-14T10:13:57+00:00 Mehmet Dinç mehmetdinc@isparta.edu.tr
In this study, the effect of excessive workload perception and family demands on work-family conflict is investigated. In order to achieve this purpose, data from 208 people were collected by using questionnaire method among quantitative research techniques. The sample of the study was composed of teachers working in private schools in Isparta and Burdur provinces. With the established structural model, the effects of the perception of work overload and family demands on two sub-dimensions of work-family conflict were investigated. According to the results, it was determined that teachers' perception of work overload positively and significantly affected only one sub-dimension of work-family conflict (conflict from work to family). It was found that family demands experienced by teachers had a positive and significant effect on both sub-dimensions of work-family conflict (work-family conflict and family-work conflict). The results obtained in the study were discussed in terms of the education sector and private schools’ employees.
2021-09-14T09:53:36+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Journal of Organizational Behavior Review http://165.227.156.80/index.php/JobReview/article/view/52 An Investigation of the Dark and Light Personality Traits on the Entrepreneurial Intention 2021-09-14T10:13:58+00:00 Sema POLATCI sema.polatci@gop.edu.tr Hakkı Okan YELOĞLU okany@baskent.edu.tr
The dark side of personality has always been associated with negative and disturbing consequences in the relevant literature. In the business world, while focusing generally on the light side of the employees, the dark side has always been tried to be ignored from the business environment. However, the conditions of today's business world have made it necessary to think again about the light and dark sides of the employees. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of dark and light side of personality traits on the entrepreneurial intention of the employees. As a result of the research, it was determined that both dark and light personality traits have an effect on entrepreneurial intention, but dark personality traits have higher effect, and also psychopathy and kantianism, which are sub-dimensions, have positive effects on entrepreneurial intention. For this reason, exploratory sequential mixed method design was adopted in the study and three different studies were conducted consecutively. In the first study, a structured interview was conducted with 50 personnel in order to determine the positive leadership behaviors that affect the emotional well-being of hospitality employees. A questionnaire was applied to 326 participants, consisting of hospitality staff, with the pool of questions created after the analysis of the interview data and the literature review. As a result of this pilot study, the PLS structure consisting of six dimensions and 32 items was developed. In the last study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between positive leadership and emotional well-being in the workplace and beyond-role behavior in order to test construct validity and ensure criterion validity. The analysis of the third study, which was applied to employees of five-star hotel businesses operating in Antalya, was carried out with the data of 390 participants. As a result of the analysis, six dimensions of positive leadership; 30-item PLS that measures managerial competency, feedback, individual interest, empowerment, justice and humanitarian behavior has been reached.
2021-09-14T10:05:53+00:00 Copyright (c) 2021 Journal of Organizational Behavior Review http://165.227.156.80/index.php/JobReview/article/view/54 An Investigation About Cyber-Bullying at Work 2021-09-14T10:13:58+00:00 Seda Gökçe TURAN sedagokce.turan@vsh.bau.edu.tr
With the rise of Internet and technological devices, face-to-face communication has been replaced with online communication and in this case, it has had obvious and severe consequences in the workplace.
